Day cruise on the Eastern lagoon with the ponton boat "Oceane"

This privatized day cruise on the ponton boat "Océane" is the ideal way to explore the eastern lagoon with family and friends.

You will board the ponton boat at Pointe Maurice in Trou d'Eau Douce and sail to Grande Rivière Sud Est to admire the waterfalls and the exuberant tropical flora and fauna surrounding the river mouth. The crew will then take you out into the lagoon for a refreshing swim or some snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, followed by a visit to either the famous Ile aux Cerfs or one of the other islands inside the Eastern lagoon, the choice is yours.

To bring in a more local flavour, the Océane team has upgraded their menu in order to offer their clients a tasty experience on board. To do so, they use their own organic fruits from their orchard to make all kinds of Mauritian chutneys to accompany lunch on board. Their own range of fresh juices ‘’Lakour’’ and ice teas are offered to clients, once again using their own organic fruits. The vegetables for the salads on board are purchased from the local fields to support the local economy. They also bottle their own filtered (flat and sparkling) water as well as make their own ice.
All this has been a substantial investment to allow them to be more environmentally friendly.
